  • If you wish to get away from the tourist hustle and bustle, stroll along the towpath downstream of Lucy's Mill, or the towpath upriver behind the Holiday Inn or take a walk around the grounds of Holy Trinity church.
  • Stratford-upon-Avon prides itself on its Christmas lights which are switched on at the end of November. The Guardian travel pages 24/12/2011 described them as "spectacular, making the historic town even more magical."
